Cake in Jars

Not Genie in a bottle but Cake in a jar! Why not add these pretty and yummy little thing in your door gift packs. Your guests will definitely leave with happy faces we guarantee. Just like cupcakes, we can make every S&F flavour into Cake Jars. 

Our Cake Jars come with small plastic spoon and decorated with crepe paper in chocolate brown and thank you cards. We do have other colours too in case you have your own preferred colour for your event.

Kids' Birthday Parties! (Boys)

Children love parties, don't they? And so do we! We get very excited everytime we receive bookings for children's birthday parties. That's the time when we take out all those multi-coloured fondants, fancy cutters and moulds. And get to play with them! Really reminiscing our childhood memories; Play-Doh! On this post we're gonna share with you some of our cakes for birthday boys.

When making children's birthday cakes, we like to start by giving out ideas we have. If the client already have the design in mind, that'll be better! By providing the ideas like themes and colour scheme for example, Wonderland, including some sketches will help our client to visualize the design.

Sailor Boy

Take this Sailor Boy cake for instance. We remember this client had no specific theme in mind at the time he made his booking for his son's 5th birthday. And the show that was played on TV at that moment was Popeye. Yup! That's it! We gave some sketches on Sailor theme and that includes ships, water, buoys, and the final design in the picture above made the cut!

There are hundreds and thousands of children's birthday themes. Don't worry if you are having a hard time on making a decision on it. You can always ask your children what they like. Kids are very honest! If that doesn't help, look at which toy they play with the most. Spiderman? You just got the answer! :D

How do you eat your cupcake?

We believe every cake maker and decorator has their own style in making their creations. And how we eat them is one thing. We've seen many ways in eating cupcakes and this one is surely everyone's and our favourite. Sandwich them!

S&F cupcakes come in two categories. Of course, the clean simple which is our favourite the swirl type and fondant decorated ones. Selections are the same as Petite Default Cakes on our previous posts. You might want to check it out for full selections. :)

We like to us ice cream scoop when portioning the batter. Some people like to use spoon or piping bag, but ice cream scoop makes the process fast and efficient! :)

HEY, SAILOR! (PEANUT BUTTER JELLY): Vanilla butter cake filled with alternating peanut butter icing and strawberry jelly

MOULIN ROUGE VELVET: The ever famous red velvet cake with cream cheese icing

BERRY WONKA: Chocolate cake filled and topped with good loads of chocolate cream and strawberries

NAUGHTY NUTELLA: Nutella cream in between, the sides, on top and all over chocolate nutella cake. Comes in with or without crushed hazelnuts

LATIFA VANILLA LATTE: Vanilla butter cake soaked in mild coffee, frosted with lightly coffee-ed icing and walnuts on top

BABY JANE PAVLOVA: Classic light-as-air meringue with duo berries and chantilly creme
